About MCPA

MCPA exists to promote the ideology and philosophy of individuals committed to student development in higher education. MCPA serves students by providing its membership with opportunities for professional development through educational and social activities. With a commitment to further serve our students and with a focus on student success and development, MCPA strives to bring together professionals from across functional areas and with varied years of experience, to promote communication, to create meaningful professional relationships, and to provide opportunities for members to explore issues within the field of higher education.
In the pursuit of this mission, MCPA shall be guided by the following purposes:

• To encourage the generation, dissemination and utilization of basic applied knowledge about students, the field of higher education, and student development;
• To provide programs which support student and professional development;
• To provide a voice on issues affecting higher education in Massachusetts; and
• To promote formal and informal collegial interaction among individuals interested in student development.
